Over a month ago i blogged about a new distraction free desktop application for writing  - OmmWriter. Today i want to talk about the iPad version. This is one of the most beautiful applications for anyone who likes to take notes or just simply write. The developers have integrated features from the desktop and mac applications and really taken into consideration what users need for distraction free productivity. Ommniwriter for iPad has taken the functions of its big brothers a  step further and made this one of the most aesthetically beautiful writing applications I have ever seen. The best feature for me, has to be the keyboard – the way you can expand the size and move it up and down the screen within landscape mode. It moves from left to right as you type and leaves a trail of visually evaporating keystrokes. This is a brilliant application that can only get better. It is simple, elegant and keeps writing the central feature with the option to email text within a document or PDF. I wish it had some form of search and dropbox linking. But something tells me that it will not come to this app as it just might make it too run of the mill. Supply and demand will dictate what happens for now though, it is something totally different to what the average user will be used to.  www.ommniwriter.com
